Designer Samples
Designers from Pakistan who have past Runway or Luxury collection pieces that are now obsolete can use our pre-owned platform to sell to our UK & European client base to free up space as well as generate a small return for outfits that are sat idle. The samples can be anything from Bridal Wear, Formal/Semi-formal or Prêt Wear - in excellent condition.
Before you approach us please be aware that we will only request designer samples from brands shown in the designers section and we will request that you make contact with us via email or video call to discuss the type of samples available and if you can provide photos so we can evaluate which designs will do well on our platform as well as realistic pricing bearing in mind these are samples. We will only accept items that are in pristine condition and will meet our strict quality control criteria. The pre-owned designer samples will include both Women’s Wear and Men’s Wear.

Selling Conditions
To maintain our inspiring selection of pre-owned fashion items, we apply a set of criteria that include:
- An item’s condition, wear & tear of fabric and any stains or damage;
- The brand should be in the list of designers we recommend, the style and quality of fabric, embroidery and hand/machine embellishments;
- Popular lines according to UK/European market demand;
- Realistic selling price bearing in mind these are samples;
- With the exception of vintage articles, the outfit cannot be more than (7 years old).
Our selling criteria may vary depending on the seasons, styles and trends. That’s why our guidelines may change over time.
Rejected Items
Here are some possible reasons:
- Your item does not meet our pre-owned quality list pre-requisites;
- Your item’s quality is not up to the standards required for our pre-owned platform;
- Your item’s design and style are outdated and does not meet our client market or current trends;
- Similar items have been on sale for a long time on our site without finding a buyer;
- The price you are wanting for your item is not achievable in the current economic climate.
Before you dispatch any items that we agree to, you must ensure you do not send any alternatives that we did not agree to. If your item has not been accepted by chambeili Pre-owned, our team will contact you by email to advise you within 48 hours of receiving your email. We will give you the reason why your outfit has been rejected on this occasion. You will be required to pay for return shipping charges for the reject items.
Selling Process
If you are the designer who meets our pre-approved list and would liked to discuss selling any of your Runway or Luxury Bridal, Formal, Semi-formal or Prêt Wear samples that are now obsolete then you can follow the process below.
Contact chambeili Pre-owned by email at: preowned@chambeili.com with details of your designer sample items, required selling and reserve price, size (measurements if bespoke), condition, collection name, year launched, , date and original cost of outfit. You will have to state if the outfit is new/worn/with/without tags.
We will formulate a realistic asking price bearing in mind that your garment is pre-owned and in order to successfully sell your product our platform selling guide price is to offer up to 70% off the original purchase price; however we may offer a better price depending on the quality of the item, whether it is worn, unworn or vintage and the brand designer.
We will provide a realistic selling price potential and put a final reserve price if we cannot sell at your required asking price. We will make recommendations on pricing if your garment is approved to ensure that our client base is willing to pay the price.
Provide a brief description of your outfit including fabric used, embroidery and embellishment details, style of the garment and occasion, whether it is a bespoke item or part of a collection from the designer then provide the collection name and product name.
We will require a minimum of 5 high resolution photos of the garment taken on a plain background clearly showing the full outfit including: dupatta, gharara/shahrara, lengha, choli or saree with blouse and inner. For Premium option we will take closeup pictures of your garment with video as well to provide more closeup details to entice customers.
We will review the description, pictures and price of every item before we accept to sell it instore and online.
Once your garment has been verified and authenticated and you are ready to sell on our platform then you will be required to have item professionally dry cleaned so it is free from all odours or stains. If there are any minor defects we can have them repaired in-house at an additional cost.
Send or arrange to bring your outfit to our store address via special delivery with insurance or drop off. For international customers you can dispatch via FedEX or DHL.
After the outfit has been prepared and displayed in store it will be labelled clearly as Pre-owned Designer Sample.
We will send you regular updates on the progress of your garment every 2 weeks. We will let you know how much interest we have received and any feedback or comments.
We will contact you if we receive an offer on your garment. We will only sell it once if the customer agrees to the selling price or final reserve price.
We will keep your garment on the racks in store for maximum 5 months and each month your item will be reduced by a certain percentage in accordance with the Seller Terms and Conditions and if it is not sold within the 5 month time frame we will request you collect it in-store or have it shipped back to your address where you will need to pay for the shipping. We will however keep the garment online just in case someone does wish to buy it. Alternatively, we will give you an option to place your garment into our Auction room and let customers place bids whereby you can reduce the asking price lower to improve the chances of selling your garment.
Commissions
We will charge a flat rate commission of 30% off the selling price to all designers whether its bridal, formal, semi-formal or pret wear. For each sample we agree to sell you will be provided with a 6 month schedule with each month containing your selling price, our fees and designer final fees. If the item fails to sell at the end of the month then we will agree to reduce it further by 10% each month until it is either sold or fails to sell. In the case of failure to sell we will discuss the Auction option where customers will start bidding on the outfit leading to a more successful outcome.
Cancellation
If you have a change of heart and want to cancel the dispatch of the sample items to our UK store, please notify our sales team by email at preowned@chambeili.com stating the reasons for withdrawal such as already sold, damage found etc.
If your items have already been dispatched to our UK store then you will be required to pay for shipping the item back to your store address by FedEX or DHL within 14 days of it arriving. As storage space is vital we would like to ensure that nothing remains in storage.
Payout
Once your sample item(s) have been sold, we will deduct the relevant commission as per the commission structure above and arrange to have the funds transferred in to your Bank account or your PayPal account within 3-5 business days from the date the item was sold. You will also receive an invoice with your agreed selling price and our deducted commission charges.
